Historic Preservation Scholarship
The Scholarship Application Process for 2025 closed on May 15. Applicants will be informed in June. The scholarship award will be presented at Historic Pittsford’s Annual Meeting on July 20.
Each year, Historic Pittsford is pleased to offer the Jean France Historic Preservation Scholarship. This one-time $500 award is intended to encourage and support students who demonstrate an interest in a career related to historic preservation. Related career areas may include history, architecture, landscape architecture, museum studies, environmental studies, agricultural science and other fields.
ELIGIBILITY:
-
High School senior or college student AND
-
Pittsford resident attending any high school or college OR non-resident attending Pittsford Sutherland or Pittsford Mendon High School or a college/university in Monroe County AND
-
Enrolled, applying, or accepted into a college program that may lead to a career related to historic preservation

College programs may include but are not limited to: architecture, history, museum studies, landscape architecture, environmental studies, or another

The scholarship award honors Jean France, who as a teacher, mentor, consultant and advocate, shared her knowledge and passion for historic preservation.
