About the event

Join Robert Corby for a guided walking tour exploring Pittsford Village’s connections to the mid-nineteenth-century Abolition movement and the Underground Railroad. As we stroll through some of the Village’s older neighborhoods, we’ll visit sites linked to this important chapter in local history and learn about the immigrant communities who settled in Pittsford and helped shape the community we know today.

The tour will leave at 10:00 AM from the Fisher Meeting Room at the Pittsford Community Library, 24 State Street Pittsford, NY and conclude at the Little House (Historic Pittsford), 18 Monroe Avenue. Parking is available in Village public lots or on the street. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Dress for the weather; the tour will run rain or shine. This is a FREE event. Tour capacity is limited; advance registration is required.
